WNBA Star Elena Delle Donne Speaks at Disabilities Center Fundraiser

Yesterday, WNBA star Elena Delle Donne was at a special speaking engagement in South Bend, Indiana. The Great LOGAN Nose-on Luncheon was held to a sold-out crowd at Century Center.

Proceeds raised benefited the Logan Center, an organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event serves as a culmination of a month-long effort to raise awareness for people with disabilities.

Delle-Donne was able to talk about her sister, Lizzie, that was born blind and death with cerebral palsy and autism. She spoke about the lessons her sister has taught her.

Delle-Donne is one of the newest members of the Washington Mystics. She established her reputation as one of the best players in WNBA history during four seasons with the Chicago Sky.

Delle-Donne is a three-time WNBA All-Star and two-time first-team All-WNBA member. In 2015, she led the league in scoring and was named WNBA Most Valuable Player.

This past summer, Delle-Donne won a gold medal with Team USA at the Olympics. She was also a nominee at the ESPYs for Best Female Athlete.
