Women’s Soccer Star Kealia Ohai Becomes Brand Ambassador for BBVA Compass

Houston Dash captain Kealia Ohai is one of the rising stars in women's soccer. She now has a partnership with BBVA Compass to match her rising stature.

BBVA already has naming rights on the Dash's home stadium making the deal a natural fit. Ohai will have a presence in advertisements, participate in community activities and conduct speaking engagements as their new brand ambassador.

BBVA Compass Stadium is celebrating its five-year anniversary. BBVA has donated over $250,000 to the Dynamo Charities' Building a Better Houston.

Ohai played college soccer at the University of North Carolina and was named Most Oustanding Player of the NCAA Tournament during the Tar Heels 2012 title run. The Dash selected her with the second overall pick in the 2014 National Women's Soccer League Draft.

As the first college draft pick for the expansion franchise, Ohai quickly became a star in Houston. Last season, she became a team captain and finished second on the NWSL scoring charts.

Ohai also made her first appearance for the U.S. women's national team in 2016. She scored 48 seconds into her first match, setting a new Team USA record for the fastest debut goal.
