Wrestling Great Kurt Angle Makes Appearance at Bellator 145 Fan Fest

Bellator MMA has announced another exciting guest added to the lineup of their Fan Fest event next week outside of St. Louis.  Wrestling legend Kurt Angle will make an appearance at the Bellator 145 festivities Thursday night at Dave & Busters in Maryland Heights, Missouri.

In addition to Angle, infamous street fighter Kimbo Slice, MMA pioneers Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock, and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz will also be at Fan Fest.  Attendees will be able to get autographs, photos, and win prizes.

Fan Fest is exclusive to Bellator Nation members, but those interested can sign up for the free fan club.  Bellator 145 takes place at the Scottrade Center the following night and features the organization’s featherweight and lightweight title fights.

Angle first gained notoriety in 1996 as an Olympic wrestling gold medalist in the 90-100 kg division.  He miraculously captured the medal after fracturing his cervical vertebrae twice, suffering two herniated discs, and pulling four muscles just five months before the competition.

Parlaying his Olympic glory into pro wrestling, Angle became a star.  He is best known for winning six titles in the WWE and has accumulated 13 World Championships throughout his various stops.

Angle most recently competed in TNA, a promotion for which he has been a record six-time World Heavyweight Champion.  In 2013, he became the second inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame.
