Wrestling Legend Dan Gable Holds Iowa Book Signing on Wednesday

Dan Gable is a sports legend in Waterloo, Iowa. On Wednesday, he will be in his hometown to sign copies of his new book, "A Wrestling Life 2 - More Inspiring Stories of Dan Gable."

The event takes place at 6:30 at the Waterloo Barnes & Noble. After his first book, "A Wrestling Life - Inspiring Stories of Dan Gable," spent several weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List, Gable decided to write the second book.

This latest book edition was released last month. At this event, Gable will also talk about his wrestling career and answer questions from the audience.

As a wrestler, Gable went a combined 181-1 in his high school and college career. He went 117-1 at Iowa State University, only losing his final match in the NCAA Finals as a senior.

At the 1972 Olympics, Gable did not give up a single point on the way to winning a gold medal. He perhaps went on to an even greater career as a wrestling coach.

Gable was the head coach at the University of Iowa from 1976-1997 and won 15 national championships. He also coached the United States Olympic freestyle wrestling team in 1980, 1984 and 2000.
