Aaron Heilman Biography

Aaron Heilmer was a professional baseball player whose career spanned over 8 years.  He was born in Indiana and fittingly attended Notre Dame to play baseball.  In 2001, Heilman was drafted by the New York Mets and sought to pursue his dream of an MLB career.  After proving himself on the developmental level, he made is debut in 2003 and started showing steady improvement over the next few seasons which resulted in a .68 ERA by the 2005 season, the best in the league at the time.  Over his career he has played for three teams and registered 548 career strikeouts.
