Arron Afflalo Biography

Arron Afflalo played in the NBA for 11 seasons and was always a reliable contributor. Afflalo started 72 games for the Orlando Magic during the 2013-14 season, averaging a career-high 18.2 points per game. He was a key piece in the Dwight Howard trade and his career blossomed getting to lead the rebuilding Magic. After two seasons in Orlando, he was dealt to the Denver Nuggets, where he had played from 2009-2012. Afflalo was originally drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the first round of the 2007 NBA Draft. While with the Pistons, he was Shooting Stars champion during All-Star Weekend in 2009. Afflalo has been to the postseason five times in his career. The Los Angeles native stared at UCLA, winning Pac-10 Player of the Year and consensus first team All-American honors in 2007. Afflalo made the Final Four with the Bruins in each of his final two seasons.
