Avisail Garcia Biography

Avisail Garcia is an outfielder for the Miam Marlins. He was originally signed as an international free agent by the Detroit Tigers. Garcia was named the Tigers Minor League Player of the Year in 2012. He was promoted to the major leagues late in the 2012 season. Garcia hit .319 down the stretch in 23 games and made the postseason roster. He helped Detroit make the World Series. Garcia spent the 2013 season before being traded to the White Sox. He had a great 2017 season, getting named to his first All-Star roster and finishing with a .330 average, 18 home runs and 80 RBI. Garcia was with the White Sox through the 2018 season before joining the Tampa Bay Rays in 2019 and hitting a career-best 20 home runs. He signed with the Milwaukee Brewers prior to the 2020 season and after two seasons there, joined the Marlins
