Ben Revere Biography

Ben Revere led Lexington Catholic High School to a Kentucky baseball State Championship during his junior year in 2006, and earned Gatorade Kentucky Baseball Player of the Year, Kentucky Mr. Baseball, and USA Today All-American honors during his senior year in 2007.  In the 2007 MLB Draft the Minnesota Twins selected him in the first round with the 28th overall pick.  After signing with the Twins he quickly became one of the top prospects in the minor leagues.  During his first full minor league season he hit .379 with 44 stolen bases and 10 triples, earning him Midwest League All-Star and Player of the Year honors.  He followed that up with a .311 average in 2009 and .336 average through May of 2010, which earned him a call-up to the big leagues.  After making his MLB debut in 2010 he played three seasons in Minnesota and then was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies.  During the 2014 season he led the National League in hits, and has posted a .291 average with 145 stolen bases through his first four seasons in the major leagues.
