Christine Sinclair Biography

As perhaps the greatest scorer in Canadian history, Christine Sinclair has played for the Canadian Women’s National Soccer Team since 2000. Sinclair has found success in both club and international play, winning three Women’s Professional Soccer titles, a CONCACAF Women’s Championship, and a bronze medal in the 2012 Olympic Games. Sinclair has also won numerous individual accolades including 11-time Canadian Player of the Year, a Golden Boot and Golden Ball from the U-19 FIFA Women’s World Championship, and a scoring title in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. She broke the record for most goals scored in a single Olympic Games with 6 goals throughout the 2012 Games. Sinclair is sitting third on the all-time international goals list for a women’s player with 147 and is the all-time leading scorer in Canadian history. Sinclair is the Canadian team captain and was chosen as the country’s flag bearer for the closing ceremonies after the London Games.
