Danario Alexander Biography

Danario Alexander is an NFL wide receiver who most recently played for the San Diego Chargers during the 2013 season. Prior to his time in the NFL, Alexander played collegiately at the University of Missouri for four seasons. During his time at Missouri, Alexander recorded 22 touchdowns, with his best season coming in his 2009 senior season when he caught 113 receptions for 1,781 yards and 14 touchdowns. His efforts during his senior season earned him All American honors, and he was considered a mid-round prospect coming into the 2010 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, Alexander was not selected in the draft, eventually signing with the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent. After spending time on the Rams’ practice squad, Alexander was called up to the main team in October of 2010, catching his first touchdown in his debut game. Alexander was then cut by the Rams in 2012, signing with the San Diego Chargers just days later. His 2012 season would be his best as he would total 658 yards and seven touchdowns in just ten games with the team.
