Felix Doubront Biography

Felix Doubront is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher who spent six seasons in Major League Baseball. At 17, Doubront entered the minor leagues playing for the VSL Red Sox in 2005. While in the minors, Doubront also played for the CGL Red Sox, Lowell Spinner, Greenville Drive and the Lancaster JetHawks. Doubront made his Major League Debut on June 18, 2010 with the Boston Red Sox. At the start of the 2012 season, Doubront became a starting pitcher and in June, he had a no hitter going into the sixth inning, but it ended with him giving up two runs. In 2013, he earned his first career postseason victory in Game 4 of the 2013 World Series. On July 30, 2014, Doubront was traded to the Chicago Cubs.
