Hakeem Nicks Biography

Hakeem Nicks is a former NFL wide receiver. In high school, Nicks was considered one of the top wide receiver prospects, and committed to the University of North Carolina. During his freshman year at UNC, Nicks set single season reception records, ranking third in the ACC in receiving yards per game. Nicks would go on to have an even better sophomore season, setting UNC records with 74 catches for 958 yards and five touchdowns. Nicks would leave UNC after his senior season, and would enter the 2009 NFL Draft. Nicks was selected by the New York Giants with the 29th overall pick, and would make an immediate impact, becoming the Giants go to receiver and being an important part of their 2011 Super Bowl victory. After the 2013 season, Nicks left the Giants to sign with the Indianapolis Colts.
