Jakub Voracek Biography

Jakub Voracek is a star for the Philadelphia Flyers who has played for the team since 2012. In 2015, he made the All-Star team and tied a game record with six points scored. That year, he finished with a career-high 81 points that tied for fourth most in the NHL. Voracek originally made his debut with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2008. During his rookie campaign, he helped the Blue Jackets make their first appearance in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Voracek had the lone assist on the first postseason goal in franchise history. Columbus originally made him the seventh overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He spent two seasons playing junior hockey with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL. Voracek has represented the Czech Republic at the World Championships three times.
