Kevin Cash Biography

Kevin Cash has been tasked with replacing the most successful manager in Tampa Bay Rays’ history, Joe Maddon.  Following his retirement as a player, Cash became the bullpen coach for the Cleveland Indians and learned under Terry Francona for two seasons.  He spent eight seasons in the big leagues and played for six different organizations.  Cash mostly spent his career as a backup catcher.  He played collegiately at Florida State.  The Tampa, Florida native played for the Northside Little League team when they made it to the Little League World Series in 1989.  Getting to call the Bay Area home once again and coach the hometown team is a great thrill for Cash.
