Mike Vallely Biography

Mike Valley (Mike V), 44, is a man of many talents. Most commonly known for being a professional skateboarder and now currently a vocalist for hardcore punk band ‘Black Flag’, Vallely is also an actor, stuntman, former professional wrestler and former professional hockey player for the Danbury Whalers.

In the mid 1980s, Vallely helped pioneer and revolutionize skateboarding from transitioning it of its oddly whimsical beginnings that extensively and predominantly featured flat ground hand plant variations to its aggressive and technical nature now known today. In his skateboarding career, Vallely has rode for brands: New Deal Skateboards, Powell Skateboards, Transit Skateboards, Black Label Skateboards, Element Skateboards, and now Elephant Skateboards.

Valley appears as a recurring character in the highly successful Tony Hawk Pro Skater video game series. The fifth game in the series, ‘Tony Hawk's Underground,’ is loosely based off Vallely's skateboarding career. He’s also played a small acting role in ‘Hangover’ and ‘Hangover: Part III.’
