Nick Johnson Biography

Nick Johnson is a professional basketball player who plays point guard / shooting guard for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association. In November 2010, Johnson signed a National Letter of Intent to play college basketball at the University of Arizona. As a freshman at Arizona, Johnson was named to the 2012 Pac-12 All-Freshman team. In his sophomore year, he earned honorable mention Pac-12 All-Defensive team honors along with being named the Pac-12 Player of the Year. Johnson declared for the NBA Draft on April 15, 2014. On June 26, 2014, the Houston Rockets selected Johnson as the 42nd overall draft pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. He officially signed with the Rockets on July 25, 2014 after averaging 12.5 points per game in the 2014 NBA Summer League. Johnson was assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on November 18, 2014 and the Rockets recalled him on November 24, 2014.
