Torry Holt Biography

Prior to making it to the National Football League, Torry Holt began his career in football when he was in high school. While in high school he was named a Prep Football Report All-American selection and an All-State selection. He then went on to college at North Carolina State where he played wide receiver. Torry exhibited his skills on the field and that resulted in him being named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year. In his senior season he also set several conference records including having 88 receptions for 1,604 yards, and a school record of 16 touchdown receptions. Holt then made it to the NFL as the 6th overall selection in the 1999 NFL Draft where he became the Rams Rookie of the Year. In his career he racked up 920 receptions for 13,382 yards with 74 touchdowns. Those kind of stats propelled Torry to being a 7 time Pro Bowl selection, a first team All-Pro, and a Super Bowl Champion.
