With each passing week of the NBA season, it became even clearer that Minnesota Timberwolves swingman Andrew Wiggins would be the Rookie of the Year. This week he captured 110 of the 130 first-place votes to win the award going away.
To celebrate his achievement, Wiggins’ apparel partner Adidas has released a limited edition Crazylight Boost 2015 colorway. The shoe features colors from his high school, the University of Kansas, and the Timberwolves.
It is also spotted with maple leafs representing his Canadian background.
The shoe is available now on adidas.com and also today at the Foot Locker in the Mall of America in Minneapolis, Minnesota. National online retailers will also have it available.
During his rookie campaign, Wiggins averaged 16.9 points and started all 82 games. The Cleveland Cavaliers originally selected him as the first pick overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft before he was shipped to Minnesota in the Kevin Love trade.
For the Jayhawks, Wiggins was the Big 12 Freshman of the Year and a consensus second-team All-American in his only season. For a player who has been heavily hyped since his high school days, the sky is now the limit after a successful first go-around in the pros.
