American Skier Gus Kenworthy Becomes Procter & Gamble Brand Ambassador

Procter & Gamble has decided to capitalize on what they hope will be a successful run for skier Gus Kenworthy in the Winter Olympics. They have brought him on as a brand ambassador for Head & Shoulders.

Kenworthy will be featured in their "Shoulders of Greatness" campaign that features his courageous journey as the first openly gay action sports athlete. Through February, he will be featured in a 15-second commercial spot.

Kenworthy will also be featured in in-store and digital advertising. In addition, Complex will run a content series that shares the story behind him coming out in 2015.

In 2014, Kenworthy won his first Olympic medal in slopestyle. He also gained notoriety in Sochi for rescuing a family of stray dogs on highlighting the city's problem with stray dogs.

Kenworthy has won three Winter X Games medals and three AFP overall World Championships. He was the World Cup winner in halfpipe in 2015 and 2016.

This past year, Kenworthy finished second in halfpipe and third in slopestyle at the World Cup. He also appeared on MTV's The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros
