Coaches in Arkansas are getting the rare opportunity to learn from one of the all-time greats. UConn women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma is being featured at the Arkansas Basketball Coaches Association's fall clinic.
The event takes place at 9 a.m. on September 12th at Hendrix College. Other smaller level college coaches will also speak, but details are still being finalized.
The individual clinic fee is $25 in addition to the ArBCA membership fee. A group of 15 coaches can get the special rate of $80.
Auriemma has won 11 national titles and over 900 games at UConn. The Huskies recently had an 111-game win streak that was snapped in this year's Final Four by Mississippi State.
Auriemma has led UConn to 23 regular season conference titles and 22 conference tournament championships. He is a seven-time Naismith National Coach of the Year.
Auriemma has also coached Team USA to gold medals at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. He is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame.
