This April, one of the great third baseman in baseball history gets to share more about his iconic career. Chipper Jones' releases his book "Ballplayer" on April 4th and will subsequently hit the road for a book tour.
Jones co-wrote the book with the help of author Carroll Rogers Walton. It features a forward from his longtime manager, Bobby Cox.

Jones spent 19 seasons manning third base in Atlanta and was named a National League All-Star in half of those years. The franchise originally made him the first overall pick out of high school in the 1990 MLB Draft.
Jones would go on to be regarded as one of the greatest switch-hitters of all-time. Overall, he hit .303 with 468 home runs and 1,623 RBI in his career.
In 1999, Jones was named NL Most Valuable Player. His #10 is retired by the Braves and he currently serves the organization as a special assistant to baseball operations.
