This past weekend, legendary NFL returnman Devin Hester brought his youth football camp to Orlando for the first time.  Nearly 400 participants from the ages of 6-15 gathered at Olympia High School for the three-hour clinic. 

Several other NFL current and former players, like Edgerrin James and Tim Jennings, joined Hester to aid in the instruction.  There was an awards ceremony and a race to determine the winner of “Fastest Athlete in Camp”. 

The Devin Hester Foundation made the camp possible along with several sponsors.  The charity deals with many youth initiatives throughout the year.

Hester is still going strong and headed into his 10th NFL season.  His 20 career return touchdowns are a league record and may help carry him to the Pro Football Hall of Fame some day.

Now a member of the Atlanta Falcons, Hester set the record last season with a week three punt return score, breaking a tie he had with Deion Sanders.  That game, he also had a rushing touchdown, forced fumble, and fumble recovery on the way to winning AFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

The four-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Chicago Bears.  During his rookie season, he had six return touchdowns and helped the Bears get to the Super Bowl, where he memorably took the opening kick to the house.
