Pitching in the Big Apple on a star-studded rotation has it's advantages.  There have been no shortage of opportunities off the field for New York Mets pitchers like Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard.

Early this season, Syndergaard has topped his teammate with his performance.  He has made ten starts and sits at 5-2 with a 1.87 ERA along with 79 strikeouts in 62.2 innings of work. 

Last week, Syndergaard was named National League Player of the Week after going 2-0 while not allowing an earned run.  He debuted in New York last season and finished fourth in NL Rookie of the Year voting.
