There are not many more verbose individuals in the world of sports than Basketball Hall of Famer Bill Walton. Walton has turned that gift with words into an opportunity to speak to groups all over the world.
Walton's next schedule speaking engagement will be as the keynote speaker at Navigate 2016. Navigate is the third annual user conference put on by IT platform company, Continuum.
The conference runs September 28-30 at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston. Walton will make his presentation "Success and Overcoming Adversity" and also make a one-hour appearance at event sponsor Webroot's booth on the 29th.
Walton fought his way through multiple injuries to forge a memorable playing career. He led the Portland Trail Blazers to an NBA title in 1977 and the following year was named league MVP.
While in college at UCLA, Walton became one of the true legends of college basketball as well. He was a three-time national college player of the year and won back-to-back Final Four Most Outstanding Player honors as the Bruins went on to NCAA titles.
Following retirement, Walton became even more popular as a broadcaster. He has worked for NBC, the Los Angeles Clippers, and ESPN.
