The Cam Newton Foundation maintains an active presence throughout Charlotte, North Carolina. On June 9th, Newton will host his latest event, the Kicking it with Cam! Celebrity Kickball Tournament. 

The event takes place at American Legion Memorial Stadium with doors opening at 12:30 p.m. General Admission tickets for $5 can be purchased at the stadium. 

Some of Newton's friends and other celebrities compete against teams comprised of community and business leaders. There will also be concessions, food trucks, cornhole and other games. 

During Newton's one season at Auburn University, he won the Heisman Trophy and led the Tigers to the BCS National Championship. The Carolina Panthers selected him with the top pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. 

Newton was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year that first year and was named to the first of three Pro Bowls. He set rookie quarterback records for passing and rushing yards. 

In 2015, Newton won the NFL MVP award and led the Panthers to the Super Bowl. He already holds the NFL record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 47.
