This afternoon, Independence Mazda in Charlotte is celebrating their grand opening in a big way.  They are bringing in Carolina Panthers stars Ted Ginn Jr. and Thomas Davis for an appearance. 

From 4-6 p.m., Ginn and Davis will be at the dealership.  They will sign autographs and pose for photos for free. 

In addition to the meet and greet, there will also be free food and drinks.  It should be a great afternoon for football enthusiasts and Panthers fans in the area. 

Last season, Ginn broke out with 44 catches for 739 yards and ten touchdowns.  He was a key offensive cog for quarterback Cam Newton as the Panthers made their run to Super Bowl 50. 

The Miami Dolphins originally selected Ginn with the ninth overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.  He was an All-Big Ten first team performer at Ohio State in 2006 when the Buckeyes made the BCS National Championship Game. 

Davis is the heart and soul of the Carolina defense.  In 2015, he racked up 105 tackles on the way to being named a Pro Bowler and a first-team All-Pro for the first time in his career. 

Davis has played all 11 pro seasons with the Panthers.  They drafted him in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft after he was a consensus All-American at Georgia.
