Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson embodies many of the qualities that are taught from the very beginning in athletics. Gibson will try to impart some of the wisdom that gave him his toughness and determination at his Basketball ProCamp September 12th.
The camp will be held in the Chicago area at Joy of the Game in Deerfield, Illinois. Boys & girls from grades 1-12 can attend the one-day session for $99.
Each camper will receive an autograph from Gibson, camp shirt, and a team photo with the Bulls star in addition to the basketball instruction.
Gibson is recovering from offseason ankle surgery, but should be back better than ever right around the start of the regular season. Last year, fought through nagging injuries to average 10.3 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.
Following the 2013-14 season, Gibson finished runner-up in voting for the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year Award. The Bulls have made the playoffs in each of his six seasons and he has proven to be a key contributor each time.
Chicago originally selected Gibson at the end of the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft out of USC. He was a second-team All-Pac 10 performer and the 2009 Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year with the Trojans.
