Cleveland Cavaliers Guard Matthew Dellavedova Signs Signature Shoe Deal with PEAK

There is no question that Cleveland Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova will be one of the more unique players in the NBA to sport his own shoe.  He is realizing something that is a dream for many players however via his new endorsement deal with Chinese apparel company, PEAK.

Dellavedova leaves Nike to sign a three-year with PEAK.  One of the main selling points behind the partnership is the opportunity to have his own signature shoe and apparel line that will be primarily marketed in his native Australia.

The "Delly 1" shoe will be available to Australian consumers later this year.  Dellavedova follows a significant line of NBA players that have signed with Chinese-based brands, a list that include superstars like Klay Thompson and Dwyane Wade.

Dellavedova is one of the most tenacious players in the league.  In his three seasons with the Cavs, he has developed into an indispensible role player and backup point guard for the back-to-back NBA Finals participants.

This past season, Dellavedova played in a career-high 76 games while notching a career-best 7.5 points per game.  In the 2015 playoffs, he had several memorable showings, including a 20-point output in Game 3 win in the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.

Dellavedova has achieved great success despite being an undrafted pickup by Cleveland in 2013.  In college, he was a three-time first-team West Coast Conference pick and the 2012 WCC Player of the Year at Saint Mary's.
