There is no question that legendary Nebraska coach Tom Osborne remains extremely popular in the state.  Osborne signed copies of his book, Mentoring Matters, in Omaha this weekend. 

On Friday, Osborne was at Divine Truth Christian Store for the signing from 7:30-9:00 p.m.  The book details all elements of mentoring and how one can identify strengths.  

Osborne has written several books throughout his life.  They have chronicled the leadership principles and life of one of the greatest coaches in sports history.

Osborne put together almost an unprecedented resume in 25 years coaching the Nebraska Cornhuskers.  He was 255-49-3, won 13 conference titles, and three national titles.  

Seven times Osborne was named the Big 8 Coach of the Year.  He spent his entire coaching career with Nebraska, originally being named an offense assistant in 1964.  

When he retired as a coach, Osborne served three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives. Following his time in Congress, he became athletic director at Nebraska from 2007-2013.
