This weekend, Dallas Cowboys fans who happened to be Citi cardmembers got a special treat. Rookie sensation Dak Prescott made an appearance on behalf of the company for the Citi Dak Prescott ProTalk.
From 6:30-8:30 on Friday, Prescott was at One2One Restaurant & Bar in Frisco, Texas. He was interviewed by veteran ESPN reporter Ed Werder about his outstanding debut season and the Cowboys fortunes moving forward.
For $199, Citi customers got access to the sold out event. In addition to hearing Prescott speak, they got an autographed football and photo with the quarterback.
In his debut season, Prescott has led the Cowboys to an 11-1 mark, the best record in football. At the same time, he has generated NFL MVP buzz, throwing for 2,974 yards and 19 touchdowns against just two interceptions.
Dallas got a bargain with Prescott when they selected him in the fourth round of the NFL Draft last April. He was initially projected to be the Cowboys backup, but a preseason injury to star Tony Romo forced him into action early.
Prescott's success is no surprise to those who saw him dazzle as a collegiate standout at Mississippi State. He was a two-time first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection and currently holds 38 Bulldogs records.
