This Monday, former NBA All-Star Vince Carter will be in the spotlight in his hometown of Daytona Beach, Fl.  The Daytona Tortugas minor league baseball team is hosting Vince Carter Night.

The events will begin with a pregame autograph signing at 6 p.m.  Prior to the start of the game, Carter will throw out of the ceremonial first pitch. 

The night falls in line with their normal Belly Buster Monday promotion.  For $12, you can get a ticket to the game and all-you-can-eat food. 

Carter is one of the most iconic basketball players of his generation.  The eight-time All-Star first electrified audiences after being the fifth overall pick of the 1998 NBA Draft. 

During his early days with the Toronto Raptors, Carter became known as one of the great slam dunkers of all-time.  He turned in a memorable performance to win the Slam Dunk Contest in 2000 at All-Star weekend. 

Carter also led the Raptors to their first three playoff appearances.  He is set to embark on his 20th NBA season with the Memphis Grizzlies.
