Detroit Tigers pitcher Daniel Norris made a splash in the sports world for his unique way of living and his billing as a top prospect. After 13 starts between two franchises last season, Norris is now an established major league pitcher.

Before his 2014 call-up, Norris was considered Toronto's best prospect and ranked 25th overall by Baseball America. He also gained notoreity for living out of a 1978 Volkswagon Westfalia van.
This offseason, Norris announced he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and after successful surgery in late October he is now cancer free. He is expected to be Detroit's fourth starter entering the 2016 season.
