One of the rising stars for the Los Angeles Dodgers is taking some time out of his schedule next week to instruct some young fans. On August 11th, Center fielder Joc Pederson will host a youth camp.
The Joc Pederson Baseball ProCamp is being held at the Edward R. Roybal Learning Center in Los Angles. Campers in grades 1-8 can attend the session that runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Registration costs $119. Campers will receive an autograph from Pederson, a camp t-shirt and team photo in addition to the baseball tips.
Pederson debuted as a Dodger in 2014, but officially was a rookie with the club in 2015. He was the third-youngest player in baseball, but was selected to the All-Star team.
With over 20 home runs at the break, Pederson also got to compete in the Home Run Derby. Early in his big league career, he has certainly lived up to his power potential.
The Dodgers originally selected in the 11th round of the 2010 MLB Draft out of Palo Alto High School. He was impressive at several minor league levels and earned Pacfic Coast League Most Valuable Player honors in 2014.
