Dwyane Wade Signs Latest Endorsement Deal With Underwear Brand

One of the world’s most marketable athletes is adding to his endorsement portfolio.  Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade has signed on to rep the underwear company, Naked.

Wade will be in an ad campaign this summer, titled “Role Models”.   He will also have a signature line of innerwear that roles out in 2016. 

Wade will also serve on Naked’s Advisory Board and be the creative director for his line.  The growing company perhaps hopes to duplicate the successful partnership that Michael Jordan has had with Hanesbrands for over 25 years.

Even at 33, Wade is also still one of the best shooting guards in the NBA.  This past season, he averaged 21.5 points and 4.8 assists per game.

In his illustrious 12-year career, Wade has won three NBA titles and was MVP of the 2006 Finals.  He also was the team’s leading scorer and captured a gold medal with Team USA at the 2008 Olympics.

Almost immediately after being the fifth pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, Wade joined the ranks of the league’s most popular players.  Following the 2005 Playoffs, he led the league in jersey sales for almost two years. 

The 11-time All-Star has parlayed his status into a robust list of endorsements.  Wade has current deals with companies like Gatorade and the Chinese sportswear company Li Ning.
