ESPN Anchor Neil Everett Keynotes Global Tourism Summit in September

The roots of ESPN anchor Neil Everett's broadcasting career can be traced back to his time living in Hawaii. He will return to the state in September as the keynote speaker at the Global Tourism Summit. 

The event takes place September 19-21 at the Hawaii Convention Center. The goal of the Hawaii Tourism Authority in hosting the summit is to help attendees improve the state's tourism industry. 

Tidbits about Hawaiian culture, global marketing and technology will be shared. Everett will give the presentation titled, "Paying Aloha Forward - How Hawaii Saved My Life," on September 20th. 

Everett spent 15 years working for local news affiliates in Honolulu. He began as an assignment editor and associate producer before being featured in an on-air role. 

Before working in television, Everett was an assistant athletic director and sports information director at Hawaii Pacific University. He was the communications director for the Jeep Aloha and Jeep Oahu bowls. 

Everett originally joined ESPN in 2000 as an anchor for ESPNEWS and SportsCenter. He is currently the co-host of the network's late-night SportsCenter based out of Los Angeles.
