ESPN NBA Insider Chris Broussard began his sports media career in Ohio and he will be speaking at an event in the state next month. He is scheduled to speak at Wright State's Raider Tip-Off Premiere on October 6th.
The event celebrates the beginning of basketball season at Wright State. In addition to Broussard's speech, there will be a silent auction, VIP reception and introduction of the Raiders' men's and women's basketball teams.
The Tip-Off Premiere will be held at the Nutter Center on campus. General admission tickets are $70 while VIP passes are $115.
Broussard has been one of ESPN's top NBA voices since joining the network in 2004. He contributes stories to ESPN The Magazine and ESPN.com in additon to his work on television.
In the past, Broussard has been an analyst on ESPN's "NBA Countdown" studio show. He regularly appears on programs like "SportsCenter" and "Mike and Mike".
Broussard's career began at The Plain Dealer before joining the Akron Beacon Journal as Cleveland Cavaliers beat writer. He also covered the New York Knicks and New York Nets for the New York Times from 1998-2004.
