It is hard going undercover to do anything when you are over seven feet tall. That did not stop retired NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal from trying to diguise himself while ferrying Lyft passengers recently.
O'Neal and the ride-sharing company set the promotion up in Atlanta. They set up a camera in the car to gage the reaction of passengers as they jumped in to see the former center dressed up in a variety of costumes.
Lyft has used other disguised athletes such as Jerry Rice and Danica Patrick in the past. The Shaq video has received significant interest on the web since it's Wednesday release, generating over two million views as of Monday afternoon.
O'Neal was recently announced as one of the latest inductees to the Basketball Hall of Fame. It was an honor that was almost a formality to recognize a player who was a 15-time All-Star and an eight-time member of the All-NBA first team.
In addition to the individual achievements, O'Neal won four NBA titles, three with the Los Angeles Lakers and one with the Miami Heat. He ranks seventh in points scored in league history and 13th in rebounds.
Off the court, O'Neal is one of the most entertaining personalities in NBA history. He continues to delight audiences today as an analyst on the award-winning TNT studio show, "Inside the NBA".
