Former All-Pro Wide Receiver Chad Johnson Speaks to University of Florida Class

Former All-Pro Chad Johnson came to fame at the point of explosion for digital media. That gives him a unique perspective to speak from every time he speaks at the Sports Media and Society class at the University of Florida.

Johnson has been a speaker at the class for five years. For the second year in a row, he invited students to lunch and 100 of the 250 he spoke to took him up on the offer at The Swamp Restaurant.

After students started reaching out to Johnson on Twitter in 2012, he began making appearances at UF. This year, he spoke particularly about a domestic violence issue that year that received significant media scrutiny.

Johnson had an 11-year NFL career and spent ten of those season with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a six-time Pro Bowler and four-time first-team All-Pro.

The Bengals originally selected Johnson in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft.  He led the AFC in receiving yards on three occasions and was the NFL's leading receiver in 2006.

Johnson recorded seven 1,000-yard receiving seasons and finished his career with 11,059 receiving yards and 67 touchdowns. He holds all major Bengals career receiving records.
