Former College Basketball Coach Bob Knight Speaks at Toyota Material Handling Celebration

At the end of last month, Toyota Material Handling had a 50th-anniversary celebration marking the sale of their first forklift in the United States. Attendees were surprised when legendary college basketball coach Bobby Knight addressed the crowd.

There were over 600 people from around the country and Japan in the crowd at the company's campus in Columbus, Ohio. Knight shared stories from his career and what various teams and players taught him.

His talk was particularly centered on "how to win" and he touched on some of the main organizational philosophies at Toyota. Several company executives also spoke.

Knight ranks second in Division 1 college basketball history with 902 wins. He was the head coach at Indiana University from 1971-2000 and the Hoosiers won three NCAA championships.

In 1976, the Hoosiers capped the only undefeated season in Division 1 men's basketball history. Knight's teams also won 11 regular season Big Ten titles and he was an eight-time Big Ten Coach of the Year.

Knight originally began his head coaching career at Army and also was the head coach at Texas Tech from 2001-08. Upon retirement, he was an analyst at ESPN for eight years.
