Former Dallas Cowboys Great Ed Too Tall Jones Supports The Hazleton Integration Project

Last week, Dallas Cowboys legend Ed "Too Tall" Jones traveled to Pennsylvania to attend the fourth annual holiday celebration for the Hazleton Integration Project.  Jones supports the iniative that was started by Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon in Maddon's hometown.

The Hazleton Integration Project was started to bring people together from all backgrounds and to develop the Hazleton One Community Center.  Maddon holds a five-day bash each year that benefits those efforts.

Jones was one of the featured guests at HIP's fifth annual banquet.  The group also holds several other events during a five-day period, including a baseball clinic, kids talent show, and Thanksmas dinner for needy people in Hazleton.

Jones played his entire 15-year career with the Cowboys and was a three-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro.  He was a ferocious force at defensive end and unofficially collected over 100 sacks in his NFL career.

Jones ranks fifth in team history with 1,032 tackles and never missed a game.  Most importantly, he was a key piece in several successful Cowboys teams during the 1970s.

Overall, Jones played in 16 playoff games, including three Super Bowls and helped Dallas achieve ultimate glory in Super Bowl XII. He also holds the unique distinction of being the first player to be selected first overall in the NFL Draft out of a historically black college.
