Former Minnesota Football Coach Jerry Kill Hosts Book Signing Event for Charity

After epilepsy forced him from the sidelines, former Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill has become a tremendous advocate for those that suffer from the disease.  On Friday, he held a book signing to raise money for Chasing Dreams Coach Kill Epilepsy Fund.

The Coach Kill Book Signing Benefit had over 200 guests come out to TCF Bank Stadium.  It featured a short program and breakfast in addition to the book signing.

Kill autographed copies of his recently released book, "Chasing Dreams: Living My Life One Yard At A Time".  Overall, the event raised $200,000.

Kill spent five seasons at the head coach at Minnesota and turned in back to back 8-5 campaigns in 2013 and 2014.  That second year, he won Big Ten Coach of the Year.

After a 10-3 season in 2010 at Northern Illinois, Kill got the Gophers job.  He had previously been a head coach at Southern Illinois, Emporia State and Saginaw Valley State.

In 2004, Kill won the Eddie Robinson Award as the top Division I-AA head coach while at Southern Illinois.  He now serves as an associate athletics director at Kansas State University.
