Former Minnesota Twins Star Justin Morneau Keynotes Men’s Night Out in Wadena

Former Minnesota Twins star Justin Morneau holds a special place in team history. The audience should be packed with Twins fans when he speaks at Tri-County Health Care's Men's Night Out in Wadena next month.

Festivities will be held from 5-8 p.m. on April 16th at Wadena-Deer Creek Elementary School. The goal of the event is to provide health and wellness information to men of all ages.

As a former professional athlete at the highest level and longtime fan favorite, Morneau is the perfect speaker for the evening. Prior to his presentation, there will be a panel of Tri-County Health Care medical professionals that take part in a question and answer session.

Morneau spent 11 of his 14 major league seasons with the Twins and was part of teams that won three American League Central Division titles. He went to four straight All-Star games from 2007-10.

Morneau was named AL MVP in 2006 after hitting .320 with 34 home runs and 130 RBI. He also won the National League batting title in 2014 while playing with the Colorado Rockies.

Morneau represented Canada on four occasions at the World Baseball Classic. He retired after the 2016 season and is currently a special assistant to baseball operations in Minnesota.
