While New England Patriots fans may not have a Super Bowl to look forward, they can still relive some of the memories of their recent dynastic run this week. Tonight, former wide receiver Troy Brown is signing copies of his recently released book, "Patriot Pride: My Life in the New England Dynasty", in Hingham, Massachusetts.
Brown will be joined by co-author Mike Reiss at the 7 p.m. Barnes & Noble signing. In addition, the two will also hold a question and answer session following the event.
The book was originally released in October. It is jam-packed with Patriots information from a player who spent 15 seasons with the franchise and a writer who has covered the organization since 1997.
Brown is one of the greatest NFL underdog stories in recent memory. After being an eighth round draft pick in 1993, he went on to one of the greatest careers in New England history.
The three-time Super Bowl champion retired as the team's all-time leader in receptions. Brown finished with 557 catches for 6,366 yards and 31 touchdowns.
In 2001, the Patriots captured their first Super Bowl while Brown was named to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro team. While that was undoutedly his best season on offense, he also was a huge contributor in the return game during his career and even served in an emergency role at defensive back in 2004.
Brown is in the New England Patriots Hall of Fame and was named to their 50th Annivesary Team along with the All-2000s Decade Team. He is currently an analyst for Comcast SportsNet New England and co-hosts NFL Sunday on WEEI in Boston.
