Former NFL Coach Herm Edwards Keynotes Parker’s Purpose

Herm Edwards has been known for his inspirational talks both as an NFL head coach and now as an ESPN analyst. Tonight, he will deliver a keynote speech at the Parker's Purpose fundraising dinner and auction. 

Parker's Purpose helps underprivileged children who have diseases or disabilities. The ninth annual event takes place from 5-11 p.m. at Ole Zim's Wagon Shed in Gibsonburg, Ohio. 

Since 2008, Parker's Purpose has raised over $200,000 for kids and their families. Individual tickets are $75 and tables of eight are $500. 

Edwards started his football journey with a ten-year playing career at cornerback in the NFL. After starting his coaching career as an assistant at San Jose State, he jumped to the pro ranks as a scout and then a coach with the Kansas City Chiefs. 

From 1996-2000, Edwards was the assistant head coach and defensive backs coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was then named head coach of the New York Jets and guided them to the playoffs three times in five years. 

Edwards also coached the Chiefs for three years and made the playoffs in his first season. Since 2009, he has been an NFL analyst for ESPN.
