Former NFL Linebacker Randall Godfrey Keynotes Changing Lives Dinner in March

Valdosta, Georgia native and former NFL linebacker Randall Godfrey is speaking at an event in his hometown. He is the keynote speaker at the Lowndes Associated Ministries to People Changing Lives Dinner. 

The dinner is being held on March 2nd in the student union ballroom at Valdosta State University. Corporate tables and other sponsorship opportunities are currently available. 

LAMP works towards helping the homeless in Lowndes County. Godfrey will talk about his successful football career and the work he does through that platform to help his community. 

After being an All-American at Lowndes High School, Godfrey went on to becoming one of the all-time greats to come through the University of Georgia. He was a three-time All-SEC performer and the 1992 SEC Freshman of the Year. 

The Dallas Cowboys selected Godfrey in the second round of the 1996 NFL Draft. He never missed a game and racked up 438 tackles in four seasons in Dallas. 

In 2000, Godfrey collected a career-best 169 tackles for the Tennessee Titans and was named a second-team All-Pro. He also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, San Diego Chargers and Washington Redskins before retiring in 2007.
