Former NFL Player and Coach Jim Zorn Speaks at Idaho Sports Banquet This Spring

Jim Zorn had a lengthy career in the NFL as both a player and coach. He is likely to share some fun stories from those experiences when he speaks at the Idaho Athletic Hall of Fame and North Idaho Sports Award Banquet this spring. 

The event takes place on April 14th at the Best Western Plus Coeur d'Alene Inn. Individual tickets are $25 while children 12 or younger can get in for just $15. 

Student-athletes from District 1 and 2 in Idaho will be recognized for their achievements. The Hall of Fame induction class will be announced on March 1st. 

Zorn went from undrafted player to one of the early stars of the Seattle Seahawks. He was the franchise's quarterback for their first eight seasons and was a second-team All-Pro in 1978. 

Zorn retired in 1987 and became a college assistant coach at Boise State the following year. He landed back in the NFL as an offensive assistant with the Seahawks in 1997.

Zorn mostly spent time as a quarterbacks coach but was the head coach of the Washington Redskins for two seasons. He is currently retired and a member of the Seattle Seahawks Ring of Honor.
