Former NFL player Chris Borland is coming to speak at the University Colorado. He will take part in April's Conference on World Affairs Week.
There will be over 100 speakers representing 18 different countries in Boulder April 10-14. Borland will participate in a special panel discussion.
Most of the events will be on the CU campus. Students get priority access to seating and question and answer portions of the panel talks.
Borland enjoyed a standout college career at the University of Wisconsin. He was a leading star during a golden age of Badgers football, helping the program win three Big Ten titles.
Borland was a three-time All-Big Ten selection. In 2013, he was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-American.
The San Francisco 49ers selected him in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Despite recording a standout rookie season with 108 tackles, Borland retired after the year citing concern over head injuries.
