Former NFL player Jay Barnett has been through his fair share of ups and downs. The way he continually picks himself up is the crux of the inspirational message he shares with crowds across the country.
On October 21st, Barnett spoke at Lone Star College-Greenspoint Center from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. His presentation was titled, "Finding Your Purpose and Passion in Life."
Barnett gave specific ways to handle life's obstacles. He was able to show how he used these tactics in times where he dealt with abuse and rejection.
Barnett was able to fight through a tough upbringing to be a standout college football player. He even got a spot with the Green Bay Packers before his journey in pro football was quickly ended.
Even though his football career is over, Barnett has found a great purpose in life. He works with youth around the country and is founder of the Houston-based self-devlopment program, the ME Project.
Barnett also started the "I am King and Queen" movement. It is geered towards empowering teens from all backgrounds.
