Former NFL Player Renaldo Wynn Speaks at December’s Shrine Bowl

Next month, former NFL player Renaldo Wynn will speak at the Shrine Bowl Coaches and Players Awards Banquet. The event is being held on December 16th at the Marriott Renaissance Park Hotel and Conference Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The night of activities celebrates those involved with the 80th Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. The game will be held the following day at 2 p.m. on the campus of Wofford College. 

Wynn is slated to talk about some of the impact he is still able to make off the field in retirement. Tickets to the banquet are currently available. 

Wynn spent 13 seasons as a defensive end in the NFL. After a career where he was an honorable mention All-American and team Most Valuable Player at Notre Dame, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. 

For the first five years of his pro tenure, Wynn was a important piece of the Jaguars defensive line. He was also a team captain during his time with the Washington Redskins. 

After retiring from football, Wynn went into the NASCAR business as a member of the marketing staff for Joe Gibbs Racing. He also works with Gibbs' Game Plan for Life ministry.
