Former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel remains a big name in the state of Ohio. On Sunday, he spoke to in-state graduates at Lowellville High School's commencement.
The school's 127th commencement was held in the Paul V. Johnson Gymnasium. Tressel centered his talk around four key words: gratitude, friends, finances and selflessness.
He shared how each of those keywords is essential for a successful life. The small class of 54 graduates were certainly impacted by the ex-coach's powerful words.
Tressel racked up an impressive resume in ten seasons at the helm of the Buckeyes. The school won the Big Ten title in each of his last five seasons and six times overall.
Tressel guided OSU to the 2002 BCS National Championship and two other title game appearances. In 2015, he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and the Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame.
Prior to arriving in Columbus, Tressel won four I-AA National Championships as the head coach at Youngstown State. Since 2014, he has been the president at YSU.
